CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH FREEZER BALLS

Still over here obsessing over freezer balls and playing around with all flavor combinations imaginable for these little treats. My latest freezer/protein/energy/fat ball recipe is CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH. Yum and yum. My family was the type that never actually made cookies because we ate the raw dough before the baking even came close to happening. Turns out raw cookie dough is not that great for you but these freezer balls are just as delicious and they're healthy.

This recipe was inspired by Clean Eating Goddess with just a few tweaks to her recipe to decrease sugars. These balls have dark chocolate chips and cacao nibs but nuts, seeds, or berries would all be delicious, too. These balls take about 5 minutes to make and are so worth it. Keep them in your freezer for a quick treat or snack. Hope you love them!

Ingredients

*Makes about 10 balls

  • 3 T coconut butter (I like Eating Evolved, Thrive Market or Artisana brand)

  • 1 T vanilla extract

  • 2 T organic maple syrup

  • 1 cup almond flour (I like Bob's Red Mill)

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 2 T dark chocolate chips

  • 1 T cacao nibs (I like Navitas Organics)

Directions

  1. Melt coconut butter and mix with vanilla extract and maple syrup.

  2. Mix in salt and slowly add almond flour.

  3. Stir in the chocolate chips and cacao nibs.

  4. Roll into balls and place in freezer for at least 15 minutes before eating. Enjoy!
